Match Accessories Three Year Anniversary Party
Strike a Match.
Back in 2013 husband and wife, Jeremy and Samantha, began their future in Disney fan fame. Wishing to make vintage inspired handbags for Samantha, Jeremy experimented and found himself working often with Bakelite, Pearl Lucite, and Confetti Lucite – the popular trio used in many bags from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Becoming familiar with the materials, one thing led to another, and magic was born from love.
Match Accessories™, along with sister brands Sparklite™ and Litewood™, was officially launched in July 2014 in the San Francisco Bay area. And Disney fans were never the same.
Known for their signature Disneyland “D” brooch, in a short three years, Match cemented themselves in the Disney community as the accessory to own. Many variations and renditions on the famous initial were created from antique brass to litewood to sparklite with designing collaborations with the likes of Tiki Tony, Audrey K Boutique, B-Rex, Lauren Kurtz, KW Creations, and more! In each release of the reimagined “D” there is a new unique flair – the beginning or the addition of a collection. The possibilities seem endless, and we wouldn’t any other way.
On June 17th on Magnolia Blvd. Burbank, CA, Audrey K Boutique hosted the third anniversary party for Match Accessories. Long time fans of tiki culture, Jeremy and Samantha were celebrated with a pop-up oasis. Palm leaves, orchids, and of course pineapples adorned the shelves, the entrance, and the walls of Audrey K Boutique. The display windows featured Audrey K fashions accessorized with tiki favorites from the Match brooch line showcasing their range: from a casual overall day outfit to a maxi pineapple print dress fit for a tropic night out.
And Match fans/customers were no different. From casual Hawaiian button downs to custom made Match logo jean jackets to swing dresses, each guest adorned themselves with one or two or in the case of the custom jean jackets, over a dozen “D” brooches. Hugs were aplenty as well as the tiki cocktails concocted by the Whisper Sisters, each honoring the company such as “The Match,” “Mai Three Year,” and “Coconut D-Lite.”
Match customers can easily be referred to as fans because the excitement and love for the product, and the people behind it, is so infectious and genuine. Jeremy and Samantha sprung a loyal community based off the growth of their hard work, kindness, and commitment. And so we toast –
